Grades K-6 Session 1 & 2
A fun, energizing supper program that fuels students with healthy meals while keeping them moving through music, games, and active play. It’s the perfect mix of good food and great vibes to power kids through the rest of their day.

Reading Rangers
Grade 1 Session 1 & 2
Reading Intervention; literacy and skill building to improve grade level reading using strategies such as lessons on individual tablets, reading curriculum, parent and family engagement activities, and more.

Literacy Matters
Grades K-6 Session 1 & 2
Literacy Matters will help students become better writers, expand their vocabulary, and help them reimagine what they are capable of achieving.

Age-appropriate financial education in money management skills, such as saving, budgeting, and making smart spending choices through interactive activities and real-life scenarios.

FIELD TRIPS
Saginaw Valley State University College Visit – Grade 6
Apr. 23
Students will visit the campus of Saginaw Valley State University on a college student-led tour, speak with professors and other students about their university experience, and have lunch in the dining hall.
Holmes STEM Academy Visit

6th grade students will visit Holmes STEM Academy to participate in transition activities that give them knowledge about middle school.
Roller Skating Field Trip Date

K-6 grade students will have multi-aged fun while improving their balance and coordination at one of our local roller rinks.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Success Mentoring
During lunch periods M/W & Cl Tu/Th
One-on-one mentoring for selected students twice per week, designed to improve attendance and academic performance.
Kindergarten Transitions/Buddy Visits
Buddy Visits allow preschool students & families to visit & engage with school staff and kindergarten students in elementary school classrooms. Each preschool student will have a kindergarten buddy, and the pair will be assigned common goals during the Buddy Visits.
Youth Advisory Council/Student Council
Feb. 6. March 13, April 24, May22
Students will learn about the roles for class representatives, run campaigns, hold elections, learn about self-governance, while helping to make decisions about programming and activities at their school.

Family Bowling Night

A Valentine-themed family outing for the Thrive On parents and their scholars. This is a great opportunity for family fun and bonding.
Parent Ambassador Meetings

Parents and other community members collaborate with school staff and administrators to provide input on educational policies, programs, and decisions to improve student success. This group serves as a bridge between the home and the school.
